Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience
License: Required nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS,
NIHSS, CPI (Required); TNCC (Preferred) Must-Have: General
Emergency Department skillset including cardiac rhythm
interpretation, experience with critical care drips, PIV starts,
TNK/TPA administration, conscious sedation Description: Seeking a
Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. The facility
operates with 130 licensed beds. The unit consists of 34 beds and
32 vertical care areas. The Emergency Department sees an average of
over 200 patients per day. It is a very busy, fast-paced, acute
unit. Patient demographics range across all ages, including heavy
trauma stabilization cases. Common diagnoses include stroke,
respiratory illness, chest pain, abdominal pain, and DKA. The
patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:4 and support staff includes
LPNs and CNAs. Nurses will be expected to work variable shifts with
some weekend rotations. Traveling staff may be required to float to
other facilities within the designated region as necessary.
Teamwork is emphasized in the unit culture. Travelers will work 75%
of holidays. Request time off up to 6 days, excluding holidays,
which may need to be added to the end of the contract if contracted
