Job Description:
Major Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Program Management
• Supports the execution of high-priority enterprise initiatives or
programs by managing assigned workstreams, proactively identifying
opportunities, coordinating team members, and evaluating progress.
• Helps translate strategic functions or goals into actionable
plans, timelines, and deliverables. • Conducts structured research,
synthesizes data, and supports development of business cases,
dashboards, and presentation materials. • Identifies risks and
barriers to execution and partners with leaders and project
stakeholders to address issues proactively. • Develops
presentation-ready materials that clearly communicate findings,
insights, and implications for executive audiences. • Continually
seeks opportunities to improve standard program operations and
takes action to drive impactful change. Process & Tool Management •
Learning from best practices, partner in the creation of strategic
planning, program management, and impact assessment tools and
processes. • Maintain library of resources and serve as the
internal expert on the application of tools and processes, coaching
and advising strategic initiative leaders and teams. • Build
self-service capability for resources and tools and help
dissemination through the organization. • Maintain technology and
other sources that are leveraged to monitor progress and impact
across the strategic portfolio. Cross-Functional Collaboration •
Partners with stakeholders within strategy and across the
organization (including clinical and operational leaders as well as
shared services leads such as finance, marketing and HR) to gather
input, coordinate activities, and ensure alignment. • Prepares
materials for meetings with senior leaders and external partners
and helps facilitate collaboration across departments. This may
include meeting preparation and project management for major leader
events, such as Board Advances, Senior Leader Summits and Executive
forums such as Executive Council, Strategy Executive Council and
Strategy Management Council. • Supports leaders in facilitating
workgroups, tracking next steps, and ensuring accountability.
Strategic Lifecycle (Support Areas) May provide focused support in
one or more of the following areas: • Strategic Portfolio
Management – Manage project lifecycle pipeline, project grates
readiness, portfolio analysis, technology support, and reporting. •
Strategic Business Planning – Develop business planning standards
and tools, support analyses and storytelling for executive
decision-making, manage tracking of portfolio of business plans and
future assessments; partner with functional areas to align long
term plans with strategy • Performance Program Management – Manage
program to ensure ongoing cadence and record keeping to support
measure definition, target definition, data acquisition and
reporting process, measure owner liaison functions and
recalibration processes. Minimum Job Requirements Education •
Bachelor’s degree required. Certification / License • None
Experience • 3–5 years of relevant experience in strategy,
consulting, healthcare, business planning, analysis or project
management. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities • Demonstrated ability
to work independently on complex projects in a matrixed environment
with multiple stakeholders. • Excellent written and verbal
communication skills, including experience developing
executive-facing deliverables. • Strong problem-solving and
organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail. •
Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to learning and
collaboration. • Experience in academic medical centers or large
complex health organizations a plus. Physical Requirements and
Working Conditions Routine office environment requiring sitting at
a desk, working with a personal computer, conducting video or phone
calls, and preparing reports and other statistical data. Requires
periods of being sedentary such as at meetings. Excellent verbal
and presentation skills. Standing, walking and driving. Lifting and
carrying up to 20 pounds. Works rapidly and accurately under
pressure, to work in a safe and effective manner, and to handle
different issues and priorities simultaneously. Preferred Job
Requirements Education • Master’s degree in business, health
administration, public health, or related field preferred.
