beer to be a part of our growing sales team covering the greater
Raleigh & Wilmington markets. Founded in 2012, Heist Brewery and
taproom are located in Charlotte, NC. For this position we are
looking for someone who lives in the Raleigh or surrounding area.
We are looking for a driven person who loves craft beer, has sales
experience and can no only meet, but exceed goals. Your sales
activities will focus upon, on and off premise accounts through
cold calling, follow-up and support visits. You must be willing to
work some weekends and evenings. This is a full-time position with
a base plus commission compensation structure. Full Job Description
The Heist Brewery Sales Representative position is responsible for
maintaining an adequate presence in their respective territory and
deliver orders as needed. As the Sales Representative you are the
first point of contact for the brewery. The purpose of this
position is to increase Heist Brewery’s sales by building strong
relationships with our accounts, as well as assisting in educating
their staff and customers about our beers and culture. Through key
account calls, you will increase brand presence, promote and foster
brand loyalty and ensure product quality. It is expected that 80%
of your time spent is in the marketplace. In this role, you would
works towards goals and targets inline with company strategy and
under the overall direction of the Sales Director and be mainly
responsible for acquiring and maintaining sound product-focused
relationships, as well as delivering orders as needed.
Expectations: Reach sales goals in both draft and packaged product
(canned beer) categories Identifying and assisting with the
planning and organization/execution of Heist Brewery’s
participation in events such as beer dinners, craft beer festivals
and events. We currently self-distribute so you may be required to
lift and deliver product and supporting equipment to customers and
events on occasion. Essential Duties, Responsibilities & Functions:
Establish regular contact and build relationships with key decision
makers at key accounts. Perform ongoing quality control of beer
outside of brewery. Ability and willingness to maintain flexible
work schedules. Frequent travel, weekend and extended workdays are
sometimes necessary. The ability to drive a motor vehicle to and
from accounts continuously. Complete and submit weekly and monthly
market visit recaps and reports, quarterly goals and expense
reports. Attend all sales team meetings, as requested. Manage
territory accounts and ensure account satisfaction. Educate
consumers and accounts on new product lines. Strategically
influence the sale of product lines as directed by the Sales
manager. Propose strategies for expanding territory accounts.
Search for new product placements. Visit accounts daily.
Participation in events, promotions, etc. Account-specific event
management, coordination, and execution. Track and analyze
territory sales numbers to direct and guide personal activities and
efforts. Manage professional individual administrative
duties/paperwork. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Pitch and sell product portfolio to new On and Off Premise clients
within your sales region. Visit existing accounts throughout your
territory to build and maintain relationships with buyers /
decision-makers. Host On and Off premise product samplings and
events in order to engage consumers. Educate consumers and
retailers on brands that are represented within your territory.

and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to
55 lbs. Ability to manipulate 165 pounds kegs with/without dolly.
Ability to transport 165 pounds on a dolly. Must be able to
participate in critical assessment of beers. The ability to drive a
motor vehicle to and from accounts continuously. Significant travel
and driving expected. Requires flexibility in hours.
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual

Intermediate to expert-level proficiency in office-related

Dedicated sense of urgency and commitment to achieving results with
no excuses. Valid driver's license, DUI-free driving record and
ability to drive to and from accounts continuously. A registered,
reliable and insured vehicle-one that can accommodate the
transportation of some product and equipment and handle 100miles of
driving on a given day Must be 21 years old Education and/or
Experience: High school diploma, college degree preferred. 2-3
years of industry experience selling in the craft beer market.
Strong knowledge of the local market for craft beer. Experience in
both distributor and supplier side. Cicerone or beer education
preferred. Proficient in computer technology, including but not
limited to excel, Microsoft office, data entry and organization.
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Ability to
work independently with little supervision – self-motivated. High
level of craft beer product knowledge. Excellent oral, analytical,
written, and group presentation communication skills. Strong
organizational & planning skills. Thorough knowledge of company
products and industry best practices (beer and merchandise).
