Apply now and be a part of our success story.We provide excellent benefits including:Medical, Vision, and Dental plans through BCBS28 days of Paid Time OffExcellent mileage reimbursement rate403b Retirement plan with matchingFocused programs honoring Veteran patientsBest Orientation and Onboarding program youve experiencedEssential FunctionsIn addition to the general services outlined by the Board, Equity Nurse Practitioners will also provide the following specific services related to the care of patients:Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill patientsOrders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patients specific needsPrescribes and/or recommends therapeutic measures, tests, procedures, and drugs (including narcotics) in accordance within the ethical principles of medicine.Implements and monitors interventions to support the patient to regain or maintain physiologic stabilityFacilitates the patients transition within and between health care settingsFacilitates staff, patient and family decision making by providing necessary educationThe following list is a general outline of the basic duties of a Nurse Practitioner:Provides comprehensive medical care to Equity Health patients.Serves as a medical resource for VIA staff.Assists in staff training.Assists in education and training of healthcare professionals and the public.Optimizes cost-effective plan of care.Assists in the development of policies.Maximizes clinical efficiency to ensure reimbursement is optimized.Submit billing and documentation according to policy.May perform other duties as requiredQualification RequirementsA masters degree in nursing; current, active, and unrestricted license NC/SC license as Registered Nurse (RN), and official recognition as Nurse Practitionerfrom NC/SC Board of Nursing.Successful board certification in specialty within 2 years of date of hire; current and unrestricted DEA and Basic Life Support required. Computer proficiencyis required.Minimum QualificationsMinimum 1-year related experience. Experience in direct care of patients with life limiting illnesses required. Related experience may include hospiceand palliative care; family medicine; internal medicine; geriatrics, oncology; home health care; medical surgical.
