Job Description
Position Summary
The Site Training Specialist is responsible for the management,
development, and coordination of training for the Kings Mountain
site and will coordinate with other Albemarle locations to
support/implement training programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop training content that adheres to site, corporate, and
regulatory requirements (training manuals, online learning modules,
course materials, etc.)
- Implement hands-on training program for applicable content
(Albemarle Life Savings Rules, Small Tool Inspections, etc.)
- Administrate and maintain electronic workflows to include but
not limited to document change notices, incident investigations,
action items, and regulatory training.
- Develop site training matrix to identify training requirements
for each role.
- Provide training to onsite personnel as necessary.
- Create, review, and revise policies and procedures as needed
with stakeholder input.
- Support administration of Albemarle University for Kings
Mountain.
- Manage all training records for site employees.
- Ensure training is coordinated and completed on time for both
initial and refresher training.
- Coordinate outside training as required.
- Responsible for communication and training of site policy
changes, as necessary
- Monitor and evaluate training programs for compliance and
effectiveness.
- Coordinate with other Albemarle locations to support/implement
training programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the refining,
petrochemical or chemical process industries
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficient skill in utilizing Microsoft Office applications
such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Proficient in reading P&ID's and PFD's
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Knowledge or experience with documentation and records
compliance within a regulated industry.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Prior manufacturing experience, including Line Leadership
- Lean Management or Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Knowledge of HR process, procedures, and policies
- Experience in learning management systems and documentation
retention
