the future.Job OverviewPerforms stick and mig welding and burning
operations. Fabricates machine and equipment parts using burning
and welding operations, as well as with equipment such as shears,
punch presses, press brakes, benders, drill presses, milling
machines, grinders, lathe, etc. Install motors, machinery and
equipment according to layouts, blueprints and drawings. Runs
threaded piping systems, 2&rdquo and smaller in pipe size.
Performs painting operations as directed. Perform mechanical
maintenance from shop work orders, preventative work orders (PMs)
as well as from written, drawn and verbal
instruction.Requirements:
- Ability to install, maintain and troubleshoot conveyor systems
such as, roller tables and chain drive conveyor systems.
- Ability to install, maintain and troubleshoot lifting devices
such as, cranes and hoists.
- Ability to repair broken or defective machine parts using
welding and brazing tools such as, grinding, cutting and stick/mig
welding operations.
- Fabricate and machine equipment parts using burning and welding
operations as well as with equipment such as sheers, punch presses,
press brakes, benders, drill presses, milling machines, grinders,
lathe, etc.
- Install motors, machinery and equipment according to layouts,
blueprints, schematics and drawings. Work will require an
understanding of rigging applications
- Ability to use measuring tools such as micrometers, levels,
measuring tapes, lasers and other precision-measuring devices.
- Runs threaded piping systems, 2" and smaller.
- Performs painting operations as directed.
- Perform mechanical maintenance from shop work orders,
preventative work orders (PM's) as well as from written, drawn and
verbal instruction.
- Shift/Holiday/weekend or shift rotations work may be
required.Qualifications:
- Four (4) years minimum maintenance experience or Journeyman
card.
- Working knowledge of Industrial maintenance (electrical and
mechanical technologies).
- High school diploma required.
- Associates Degree preferred.
- Practical knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Systems and
Root Cause Failure Analysis required.Tools and Equipment:
- Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies, as well as cuts
materials to size and shape.
- Uses welding equipment to join various types of assemblies and
metals.
- Safely and successfully installs equipment and machinery using
hoists, lifts, lift trucks, hand and power tools, lasers, squares,
levels, rulers, micrometers, etc.
- Runs various types of threaded piping systems of air, gas,
steam, condensate, process, etc.
- Operates mills, grinders, lathes, drill presses, broaches, etc.
Repairs and lubricates equipment and machinery.
- Layout painting and striping projects.
- Operates and repairs spray-painting equipment.
- Perform other duties as required.Additional Information
