Independently identifies and troubleshoots chronic incidents, performs in depth analysis and develops/facilitates/implements permanent resolution. Makes decisions on recovery actions and solicits input from Technical Support Organizations and vendors when dealing with complex issues. Manages vendors to drive recovery efforts. Follows procedures to coordinate and/or implement complex operationally driven changes. Responds to break/fix issues, escalating to and managing vendors as needed. Is involved in the testing, certification, installation and configuration of replaced and upgraded network hardware and software. Monitors and maintains network equipment. Maintains documentation. Applies a general understanding of technical dependencies and alternatives to support customer needs in a 24x7 environment. Updates technology incident records and documents all troubleshooting, diagnostic and recovery activities for significant problems. Performs incident record maintenance and follows all standards in regards to ticket updating, resolving, closing, task creation and ticket rerouting. Updates and reviews IT Operations standard operating procedures and recovery documentation. May work with vendors and engineers to develop and enhance documentation.
