Job Description Job Description JOB TITLE: Over The Road Driver FULL TIME DEPARTMENT: Traffic FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt – Mileage Positions Supervised: none SUMMARY Reporting directly to the Traffic Manager, the Over the Road Driver transports finished furniture goods over the road to LEE customers, LEE plant locations and/or distribution centers. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES ? Delivering finished goods ? Inspecting vehicle for mechanical items, safety issues and any/all DOT compliance ? Maintaining driving logs/DOT records required ? Maintaining driving ELD logs/DOT records required ? Assisting in unloading delivered goods ? Reporting defects, accidents or violations ? Maintaining all required delivery paperwork (i.e., bills of lading) KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES ? Proven work experience as a truck driver (3 years) ? No recent moving or driving violations ? Valid CDL Class A license ? Valid up-to-date medical exam card required by DOT ? Willing to submit to background/drug checks required by DOT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ? High School Diploma or GED preferred ? Ability to work full-time EFFORT ? Able to lift at least 50 lbs ? Able to drive long hours and travel regularly
