clinicResponsibilities:Supports the organizing partnership meetings
activities, orientations, pre-apprenticeship/apprentice selections
& keeping meeting minutesCoaches, mentors, audits & trains
apprentices & technical specialists as directedDetermine training
needs, design training programs & develop classroom
materialInstruct apprentices on workmanship standards, process
procedures & recommended methods for the operation of tooling &
metal working machineryTracks completion of learning objectives &
maintains files on all completed trainingAudits the skills of both
apprentices & existing technical specialists & makes
recommendations for remedial training regardless existing personal
relationshipsModels the behaviors expected of the trainees while on
the jobManages assigned year training functionProvides verbal &
written feedback on work assignments & their progress to the
Apprenticeship ManagerProvide coverage for other Apprentice
Trainers when directedCoordinate coverage of existing apprentices
when redirected to another assignmentWork with existing specialists
to upgrade or maintain job related technical knowledgeFollows all
company rules/policies pertaining to production departmentsWorks
first shift schedule with the ability to work whenever
requiredRequirements:A 2-year technical associates degree or 5
years related, or equivalent work experience is required.Minimum 4
years of relevant vocational training experience in a medium sized
Industrial/Manufacturing environment is preferredCompletion of DOL
approved apprenticeship program emphasizing Engineering Technology
is preferredEquivalent training & experience can be
substitutedExperience in an international company or its subsidiary
is preferredEducation/Training - Knowledge of instructional methods
& training techniques including curriculum design principles,
learning theory, group & individual teaching techniques, design of
individual development plans & test design
principlesEngineering/Technology - Knowledge of equipment, tools,
mechanical devices & their usesPhysics - Knowledge & prediction of
physical principles, laws & applications including air, water,
material dynamics, light, heat & electric theory
