Oncology Locums Job in South Carolina Full Time Beginning July 1 - Ongoing Assignment

Coverage Details
Monday-Friday, 8:30AM - 4:30PM
Coverage will extend beyond December 2026
Weekend call rotation: Friday 4:30pm - Monday 8am; every 5th or 6th weekend
Credentialing timeframe: approximately 60 days

Requirements
Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology
Active South Carolina license or IMLC
BLS and DEA
Clean background required for emergency temporary privileges
Ability to commit to an initial contract of at least 6 months

Required Duties
Participation in tumor board
Management of bone marrow transplant patients
Blood bank responsibilities
Order laboratory tests and imaging
Prescribe medications

Assignment Details
Practice setting: Free standing cancer center
Patient population: Adult and Geriatric
Case mix: 65% benign hematology, 35% malignant oncology
Physicians on staff: 7
Advanced practice providers: 6
Average outpatient volume: 25 patients per day
Average inpatient/rounding volume: 20 patients per day
Permanent call rotation (not applicable during locum): 1 week every 6-8 weeks
Chemotherapy administered by oncology nursing staff
EMR: Epic
