Mission Hospital, located in Asheville, North Carolina, is excited to welcome a seasoned/experienced Trauma Medical Director / acute care surgeon to our busy ACS Level 1 program. Qualified Candidates: Board certified in General Surgery Board certified in Surgical Critical Care ATLS certification Excellent interpersonal & communication skills Must have experience as Medical Director or Associate Medical Director in a Level I or II Trauma Center Willingness to perform in hybrid role with minimum 40% administrative duties/responsibilities Please note that this position does not offer visa support Program Highlights: Team covers equal mix of trauma, surgical critical care and emergency general surgery No 24-hour shift requirement; day shifts are 10.5 hours; nights are 13.5 Large, stable and established group; worked together for many years; Minimal turnover Close team collaboration, support and coverage including time-off requests Surgical residency offers opportunity to teach Resident support on trauma, surgical critical care, and emergency general surgery services APP support on trauma, surgical critical care, and emergency general surgery services Research support offered locally and through HCA's National Center Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Research Incentive/Benefits Package: This is an employed position with HCA Healthcare Competitive salary driven by MGMA data and industry benchmarking Robust health and wellness benefit offerings; health, dental, vision, pharmacy, etc. 401k and stock options CME allowance, relocation and signing incentives offered in most circumstances
