Job Description:
HCA Healthcare invites applications for the role of Nurse Extern
in Behavioral Health. This is a unique opportunity for nursing
students to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and engaging
environment. Our externs assist with various patient care
activities under the supervision of registered nurses at our
advanced behavioral health facilities. By joining HCA Healthcare,

improvement of human life. Assist registered nurses in providing
direct patient care in behavioral health settings. Observe and
document patient behavior and report any significant changes to
supervising nurses. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
and care planning sessions. Support patients with daily living
activities and therapeutic interventions. Ensure compliance with
hospital safety and hygiene standards. Strong communication and
observational skills Ability to handle stressful situations with
professionalism Compassionate and patient-centered approach Basic
understanding of behavioral health disorders Medical Insurance
Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k CPR
certification required. Additional behavioral health training or
certifications are a plus.
