Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/05/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work 36-hour schedule with rotating weekends and holidays • No call responsibilities required • Floating to medical surgical units required with 1:7 ratios when floated • Patient ratios: 1:5 on PCU days and nights, 1:3 on weekends • 2 years of nursing experience required • Accepts first-time travelers • Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIH, AHA ACLS • 24 hours of orientation with 16 hours non-billable • Must participate in nursing student support and clinical education • Care for adult patients with daily census of 33 • Work with telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias • Manage cardiac drips without titration, blood product administration • Provide central and peripheral line care/management • Handle oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management • Special procedures include dialysis and peritoneal dialysis • Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only • Drug test must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start • Permanent residence must be 100 miles from hospital service area Facility: This medical center operates a progressive care unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The facility provides advanced cardiac care with telemetry monitoring and specializes in dialysis services including peritoneal dialysis.
