Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Telemetry Location: Kings Mountain, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,894 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 18 months experience in PCU License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Essential nursing functions. Teamwork and communication skills. Experience with tracheostomies, cardiac drips, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, blood product administration, wound care and dressing changes, management of central lines. Description: Are you interested in clinical interviewing? The facility has 58 licensed beds and does not have a trauma designation. Travelers must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. The unit has 33 beds. The patient types and common diagnoses include stroke, pneumonia, cellulitis, failure to thrive, altered mental status, chest pain, atrial fibrillation, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Patient ratios are RN to patient ratio of 1:5-1:6. If applicable, CNAs take the primary nurse assignment with the same ratios as RNs. CNA to patient ratio is 1:8-1:12. Required support staff includes CNAs for activities of daily living, vital signs, and telemetry monitoring. Receptionists assist with call triage and administrative tasks. Charge nurses mostly work without patient assignments. Phlebotomy and IV/VAT teams are available. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7. Hospitalists are also available 24/7, with a mix of in-person and virtual consultations. Telemetry monitoring is conducted at the nurses' station and a central location. Travelers may be required to float within the designated region and scope of practice. Floating requirements adhere to organizational needs. If floating mid-shift, travelers will be compensated for travel time between facilities while remaining on the clock. Travelers are expected to work every other weekend with no on-call requirements. Holiday expectations require travelers to work 75% of holidays, with a maximum of six approved request days off excluding holidays. Shift times are either 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and the schedule cycle is every six weeks. Other notes include navy blue scrubs as the required attire.
