Job Description:
Join Southern Health Partners, a leader in correctional
healthcare, and provide dedicated, compassionate nursing care as a
PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Cleveland County Jail in
North Carolina. This role focuses on delivering patient care within
a unique environment, where your medical skills and judgment are
crucial for maintaining the health and well-being of inmates. You
will work under the supervision of the registered nurse and medical
director, ensuring the provision of efficient health services while
adhering to all facility rules and maintaining the highest
standards of care. Assess and monitor inmate health, responding to
nursing needs and emergency situations. Administer daily
medications and treatments per physician orders and nursing
protocols. Record all medical information concisely, accurately,
and completely, in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate
inmates on health maintenance and disease prevention. Facilitate
referrals to other healthcare professionals as necessary. Ensure
cleanliness and sanitation of the work area and medical equipment.
Strong practical nursing skills in a healthcare setting. Excellent
documentation and patient assessment abilities. Ability to handle
high-stress situations calmly and effectively. Strong interpersonal
and communication skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current LPN licensing in the state of
North Carolina. CPR certified. Experience in a correctional
facility is preferred but not required.
