Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team of healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional care and therapy to patients across our inpatient rehabilitation, home health, and hospice care services. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work directly under the supervision of our physical therapists to implement targeted therapy plans, ensure patient comfort, and assist in the monitoring of recovery progress. Assist physical therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans. Document patient responses to treatments and report the outcome to the supervising physical therapist. Educate patients and families about treatment plans and ongoing management of physical conditions. Maintain equipment cleanliness and safety compliance according to organization and industry standards. Participate in patient assessments and help adjust care plans as needed. Support the physical therapist in administrative tasks and patient scheduling. Proven ability to follow treatment plans as directed by physical therapists. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient and staff interactions. Knowledge of proper exercise techniques and physical therapy equipment. Ability to handle physical demands of the position, including lifting and moving patients as needed. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license. CPR certification is strongly preferred.
