Doctor of Medicine | Psychiatry - General/Other Location: Anderson, SC Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for an upcoming locum tenens opportunity in Anderson, South Carolina , providing inpatient behavioral health coverage due to a temporary physician shortage. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team, work with a manageable patient volume, and practice in a well-supported hospital setting. Position Highlights Location: Anderson, SC Practice Setting: Hospital-based Behavioral Health Unit Coverage Dates: Starting May 2026 (exact dates TBD) Reason for Coverage: Maternity leave Patient Population: Adults: 60% Geriatric: 40% Average Daily Census: ~20 patients in the Behavioral Health unit EMR: EPIC ? Schedule & Call Schedule: Varies based on patient volume Call Coverage: Call ratio: 1:4 One provider on call at a time Four physicians share call coverage Mid-Level Support: 1 NP (locum will provide supervision) Scope of Responsibilities Prescribing narcotics as clinically indicated Pre-admission screening review and documentation per CMS guidelines Weekly care plan documentation Discharge summaries and medication reconciliation Facility Support 24-hour lab availability 24-hour anesthesia availability Behavioral Health unit setting ??
