Job Description Job Description Job Title: Clinical Services Director Supervisor: Executive Program Director / Executive Director Work Schedule: Full Time FLSA Status : Exempt Salary Range: See Pay Scale Job Summary: The Clinical Services Director, under the direct or indirect supervision of the Executive Program Director, and in conjunction with the Medical Director, oversees the implementation of medical clinic services. Ensures all functions of RNs, and onsite liaisons are held in accordance with STLC mission and values, as well as policies, practices and procedures and is accountable for meeting the operational, and quality objectives of the clinical services. Assures that all nursing services are provided in compliance with all applicable standards and requirements by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and all other applicable regulatory bodies. Specifications Education : Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Experience : At least 1 years experience working with the frail elderly population. Has 5 years RN experience and has practiced nursing in the last 5 years. Number and Type of Employees Supervised : Registered Nurses and Onsite Liaisons. Licensure, Registry or Certification Required : RN currently licensed in NC. Special Training : Meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by Senior TLC, Inc. and approved by CMS before working independently. Must possess knowledge and skills necessary to treat patients; other training as required by department. Only acts within the scope of his/her authority to practice. Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up to date before engaging in direct participant contact Ages of Patients Rendered Care: Neonate/Infant Early Childhood Adolescent Adult Geriatric All Age Groups Key Responsibilities : (*denotes an age-related skill or task) It is crucial that all process changes are not made in isolation, but by collaborating with the guidance of the Medical Director and Executive Leadership, including executive program directors from each STLC site. Clinical Programs and Services · Collaborate with the Medical Director, developing and promoting evidence-based best practices, clinical risk management, education, and training. · Identifies opportunities to implement best practice approaches and introduce innovations for better outcomes within clinic workflow. · Oversee RN and onsite liaisons & responsibilities according to their job description and workflow expectations. · Establishes an up-to-date SOP for RN and onsite liaison roles, responsibilities and job expectations by performing bi-annual reviews. · Serve as a content expert and mentor regarding practice standards and workflow efficiencies between PCP, RN and clinic tech team · Manages resources responsible for clinical appropriateness and quality of care such as medical supplies or equipment · Implement clinical policies & procedures in accordance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. · Works in collaboration with Medical Director and Executive Program Director for vendor and product relations and oversight of services to achieve optimal service delivery. · Oversee operation of onsite services via collaboration with onsite liaison and report concerns to the EPD and Medical Director · Oversee multiple PACE clinic locations · Travel to and from different PACE centers including, but not limited to- Shelby, Gastonia, Charlotte, Concord and Hickory sites · Creates RN on call schedule and coordinates back up call protocol should an RN be ill or terminated. · Serves as a resource to RNs for on call questions · Overseas timely CLIA Documentation Recruitment, Training and Development · Participate in the recruitment and hiring process for RNs, onsite liaisons and clinic techs in terms of onboarding education, and orientation · Evaluating performance skills for RNs and onsite liaisons · Oversee the development and implementation of ongoing team training. · Assesses developmental needs and collaborates with others to identify and implement action plans that support the development of high performing teams. · Ensures RNs understanding and use of Electronic Medical Record system · Accountable for maintaining compliance with clinical policies and procedures and implements them at the employee level. · Trains RN team to be prepared for on call duties Supplies and Inventory · Responsible for oversight of delegated staff in medical supply ordering and management of current stock of supplies. · Ensures equipment works properly and resources necessary are available to deliver optimal care. · Oversee efficient use of resources to ensure that staff complete job duties within the budget limits to prevent waste Supervisory Responsibilities · Develops, initiates, monitors, and communicates performance expectations. · Directs the staff to meet clinical assessment guidelines. · Monitor schedule or on call changes and fill in as needed. · Serves as the manager onsite who aligns all processes across sites and oversees their effectiveness · Works on performance improvement plans for staff members not meeting STLC expectations and standards Leadership · Establishes an environment and work style that promotes teamwork and continuum of care thinking that results in strong performance. · Consistently demonstrates the ability to model change and lead change efforts. · Creates a positive work environment by acknowledging team contributions, soliciting input, and offering personal assistance, when needed. · Using nursing process, delegates nursing care to appropriate personnel. · Comply with policies addressing safe working conditions. · Monitors unsafe working conditions, reports accordingly, and seeks resolution. · Recognizes inappropriate and/or ineffective patient care management and reports to Medical Director. · Resolves issue/problem and completes written reports. · Demonstrates active participation in QI plan and processes, ensuring clinical standards. · Ensures onsite service workflows are effective, efficient and aligned to meet participant care needs Miscellaneous · Maintains confidentiality of information. · Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. · Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures. · Attends required training programs (classroom and virtual), to include computer training. · Analyzes situations requiring a response and initiates appropriate action. · Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner. · Works well independently and takes charge of areas of responsibilities. · Supports Senior TLC’s mission to encourage and support the quality of life of seniors wishing to continue living in the community; its vision to be the preferred provider of individualized care for seniors in the community; and its values of respect, integrity, accountability, compatible goals, and compassionate care. · Other duties as assigned.
