Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Seneca, South
Carolina, 29672! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing

per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years
required License: RN state licensed Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN
Intermediate, BLS, NRP Must-Have: 1. Previous charge experience
preferred 2. Experience with patient ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 1:3 3.
1 year of EPIC experience required Description: Shift is night from
7 PM to 7:30 AM. Call and float are required. Weekend coverage is
every other weekend. The medication system used is Omnicell.
Special procedures include labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum
with nursery responsibilities. The facility is baby-friendly.
Registered nurses are cross-trained in labor and delivery,
circulator roles, acute care nursery, and OB triage. The unit also
cares for GYN surgery patients. Registered nurses perform their own
hearing screenings. Patient ratios include 1:1 with labor patients,
1:2 with cytotec inductions, 1:1 with magnesium patients, and 1:3
with couplet care. If a baby goes to the sick nursery, the
registered nurse is 1:1. The unit provides interdisciplinary
support including physical therapy, respiratory services, social
services, and pharmacy among others. The patient age groups include
neonates and adults. Daily census averages around 5 patients with
15 rooms and 15 beds available. Special equipment includes Panda
warmers and Giraffe incubators. Staff may float to other units
based on needs and competencies. Modules for pre-assignment testing
and training are required for all staff. Floating is a requirement
but limited to qualified units only. Travelers should ensure
compliance with all outlined floating and unit requirements.
Preferred qualifications include community hospital experience and
experience with the EPIC charting system. All candidates must
adhere to health protocols regarding vaccinations as necessary. 5
