Roles & Responsibilities Monitor and respond to telemetry and patient observation systems to keep patients safe and stable Provide compassionate bedside nursing care for med-surg/telemetry patients, including medication administration and timely assessments Use Cerner Patient Observation and electronic documentation to maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to prepare patients for procedures like Endoscopy, IR, and OR Communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity of care Support unit workflows as a reliable team player and step into charge or leadership tasks when needed Qualifications Active RN license (current in state or compact) and eligibility to practice in North Carolina Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with telemetry or med-surg experience preferred BLS certification required CMSRN encouraged and viewed favorably Leadership or charge nurse experience is a plus Comfortable using Cerner EMR and medical remote telemetry monitoring systems Education BSN preferred Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma accepted (BSN preferred when available) Knowledge & Skills Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills Proficient with Cerner Patient Observation (CPO) and electronic documentation Experience with VC150 devices and workstations on wheels Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking Clear, compassionate communication and teamwork Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced med-surg environment Benefits Generous housing stipend and comfortable temporary housing options to help you settle in quickly Medical, Dental & Vision coverage to keep you and your family healthy 401K retirement savings plan to help you plan for the future Licensure assistance and reimbursement to make state paperwork less of a headache Paid Time Off so you can recharge after giving so much to others Travel reimbursement and support for contract logistics Referral bonus program — bring a friend and both of you win A supportive team that values YOU and celebrates great care Travel Perks: Explore Asheville, NC Asheville is a vibrant mountain town with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and countless hiking trails, including Pisgah National Forest.
