Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Charlotte, NC Agency: Olaro Pay: $2,121 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Olaro to find a qualified CVICU RN in Charlotte, North Carolina, 28201! Description We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Nurse to join our specialized critical care team. In this role, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients recovering from complex cardiovascular procedures, including open-heart surgery, heart transplants, valve replacements, and major vascular interventions. As a CVICU Nurse, you will monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring invasive monitoring, mechanical ventilation, and advanced hemodynamic support such as intra-aortic balloon pumps or ventricular assist devices (VADs). You'll collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, intensivists, perfusionists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver precise, life-saving care. Daily responsibilities include titrating high-risk medications, interpreting cardiac rhythms and diagnostic data, managing post-operative pain and sedation, and providing emotional support to patients and families during intense recovery periods. Strong clinical judgment, rapid response capabilities, and unwavering attention to detail are essential.
