Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Cornelius,
North Carolina, 28031! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN
Specialty: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Duration: 13 Weeks Shift:
12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 18
months of LDRP experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS,
ACLS, EFM, NRP Must-Have: Experience with all aspects of LDRP
patient care Circulating c-sections experience Experience with
newborn care, including heel sticks, 24-hour testing, NAS scoring,
and lactation support Postpartum care experience Newborn
resuscitation (NRP) experience Description: Facility has 33 beds
and no trauma designation. It is not a teaching hospital or a chest
pain center and is not currently stroke accredited. The unit has 2
triage rooms, 4 labor and delivery rooms, 9 mother-baby rooms, and
a c-section suite. The facility anticipates approximately 900
deliveries per year once fully operational. Patient ratios follow
AWHONN guidelines. Required skills include working LDRP support
within the department. Staff includes an OB surgical tech per
shift, charge nurse, case manager, hospitalist or OB physician,
pediatricians, and lactation consultants. The technology includes
EMR with EPIC, IV pumps (Alaris), med dispensing systems
(Omnicell), and monitors (Phillips). Floating may occur within the
region and scope of practice as needed. Schedule will be
standardized with a weekend rotation every other week. Holiday
expectations include working 75% of holidays. Requests for time off
can be approved for up to 6 days, excluding holidays. Shift times
are from 7 PM to 7 AM with a schedule cycle every 6 weeks. Scrub
color should be navy blue or business casual to/from work.
