Adults/Peds - Full Time (M-Th 11am-8:30pm) The RN Admitting Nurse
is tasked with evaluating and organizing peri-operative care for
both adult and pediatric surgical patients during the pre-admission
screening process. Essential responsibilities encompass collecting
patient health data, coordinating pre-operative preparations,
ensuring patients are ready on time, and relaying any special
requirements to the surgical team, all while complying with
hospital regulations. This role demands the maintenance of nursing
competencies, provision of culturally aware care, effective pain
management, and adherence to safety and infection control

responsible for assessing and contributing to the care planning of
peri-operative patients through our pre-admission screening
services. Duties include collecting health information from each
surgical patient registering on the day of their procedure. The RN
Admitting Nurse evaluates the provided information and
appropriately plans for the patients' pre-operative needs. Timely
preparation of each patient is essential, following all hospital
policies, procedures, and care standards. Effective communication
with the surgical team regarding any special patient needs is
crucial. The RN must maintain a competent level of nursing skills
to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. This
role also involves adhering to the philosophy, mission, goals,
objectives, policies, and procedures of our organization.
Sensitivity to the needs of patients, families, and colleagues is
vital; professional nursing care must be tailored to age-specific
and culturally diverse needs, including effective pain management.
The RN is responsible for assessing, reporting, and assisting any
patients showing signs of abuse or neglect, while also supporting
the organization's mission. All team members are expected to follow
safety and infection control policies to create a secure
environment for everyone. Position Details: Location: Our Hospital
Role: RN Admitting Nurse – Med/Surg (Adults/Peds) Status: Full-Time
(36 hrs/week) Shift: 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM | Monday–Friday | No

Differentials Position Overview As an RN Admitting Nurse, you will
be instrumental in assessing and planning care for peri-operative

Graduate of an accredited RN program Licensure: Current RN license
in the state of employment or compact licensure Experience: At
least 2 years of inpatient hospital experience Certifications: ACLS
(Advanced Cardiac Life Support) BLS (Basic Life Support) – or
completion within 30 days of hire Unit-specific certifications as
required Physical Requirements: Must be able to regularly push,
pull, or lift up to 50 lbs; prolonged standing and walking; ability
