Job Description Job Description Nursing degree, active
registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. A healthcare position is available for a Registered
Nurse with experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing.
This contract opportunity is based in Gastonia, NC, and requires a
minimum of two years of Med/Tele RN experience. Candidates with
neurological nursing skills and familiarity with stroke patient
care are preferred. Key Qualifications and Experience: Current and
valid RN license Minimum 2 years Med/Tele RN experience Required
certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Neuro experience including care
for stroke and neuro patients (ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke,
SAH, encephalopathy, seizures, AMS, encephalitis) Proficiency in
cardiac rhythm interpretation, tracheostomy care, chest tube
management, NGT and drain/tube placement and management Experience
with medication drip management including cardiac drips, heparin,
blood products, and IV fluids Skilled in using EPIC EMR and related
monitoring equipment Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing
care for a 24-bed unit focused on medical-surgical and telemetry
patients Manage patient care with acuity-dependent ratios (RN:
1:4-6; may increase during surge) Administer and monitor complex
treatments including PCA pumps, cardiac drips, and tube care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including CNA, charge
nurses, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists
Float across region facilities as needed, with paid travel time
between locations Participate in weekend rotations every other week
and work 75% of assigned holidays; no call required Work
