Apply now to take the next step in your travel nursing journey!/n /n/nMed/Surg RN Job Details – Shelby, NC/n /n - Location: Shelby, North Carolina 28150/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570–$1680/n - Healthcare Setting: 5E Surgical Unit, 32 beds (average census: 28)/n - Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)/n - Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 8/25/2025 – End: 11/22/2025)/n - Shift: 12-hour night shifts (1845-0700), 36 hours/week/n - Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week/n - Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend/n - Holiday Coverage: Work 75% of holidays during contract/n - Floating: Required within region and scope of practice (paid travel time between facilities)/n - Scrub Color: Navy/n - Parking: Free on-site parking/n /n/nRegistered Nurse Qualifications/n /n - Active RN license (Registered Nurse) – North Carolina or compact state/n - BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required/n - Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience/n - Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation, non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, and central line management/n - Experience with EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors preferred/n - Ability to float to other regional healthcare facilities as needed/n /n/nMed/Surg RN Responsibilities/n /n - Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses (joint replacements, colon resections, gallbladder and appendectomy procedures, amputations, medical overflow, hip fractures, SBO, NG tubes)/n - Monitor patient status and interpret cardiac rhythms/n - Administer medications and manage non-titrating cardiac drips/n - Perform wound care, drain and tube management, PIV starts, and central line management/n - Collaborate with CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists/n - Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR/n - Float to other nursing units or healthcare facilities within the region as required/n - Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations/n /n Join our healthcare team in Shelby, NC—apply today for this top travel Med/Surg RN job and make a difference in patient care!
