ID: 72796771 Shift: DAYS: 7a-5p - 8HR Shifts, 7 days/week. every 3rd-4th weekend Description: Position RN Stress Provider Specialty: Hospital Stress Testing Lab The position isfive 8-hour shifts per week. Our stress lab runs 7 days a week, so there willbe a weekend component. Due to how few we have on staff, I would estimatehaving to work every 3rd-4th weekend. The shift hours are0700-1530 or 0600-1430 - depending on which location they're assigned (Gastoniaversus Belmont hospital campus). Our hospital-based stress labs operate with a3-person team: 1 Stress Provider (RN or exercise physiologist), 1 support RN,and 1 diagnostic tech.Summary: To provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing Cardiac Stress Testing, including but not limited to: patient preparation and IV starts, ECG lead placement and interpretation, and administration of exercise and pharmacological stress tests using nuclear, non-nuclear, and MRI imaging. The RN Stress Test Provider will also provide care to patients receiving cardiac CT studies performed in the Imaging Department. The RN stress test provider will collaborate with the medical staff and other members of the health care team to provide high quality patient care. Performs all activities in accordance with approved policies, procedures, and guidelines at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Gastonia, CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont, CaroMont Heart & Vascular-Gastonia, and CaroMont Heart & Vascular-Belmont.Qualifications: Current RN license to practice in NC (NC license or multi-state (compact) license). BSN preferred. Specialty certification preferred. Meets general hospital and departmental competency requirements. BLS and ACLS certification required. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care environment. Exceptional assessment skills required.This role canonly be filled by an experienced stress test provider. Someone new to stresstesting requires 200 tests before the medical director will sign them off ascompetent to work independently (based on ACC guidelines). So this isn'tsomething we can quickly train someone into.
