We are currently seeking a qualified Staff Development Coordinator to join our team at our location in historical Shelby, NC, just 45 minutes West of Charlotte, and 45 minutes of East of Asheville. Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5 pm (flexible scheduling available) Peak Resources of Shelby is offering a $5000 sign-on bonus for the SDC - Staff Development Coordinator position, with a competitive salary, based on experience. Full-time position benefits include:HealthDental & VisionLife insurancePaid time off (PTO)401(k) retirement plan Role Responsibilities Ensures facility is in compliance with regulatory requirements relating to staff credentialing and education. Provides services associated with the ongoing professional development of staff at the facility. Serves as the facility Infection Preventionist. Oversees the infection control programs and antibiotic stewardship programs. This position requires availability to work days, evenings, nights and week-ends as needed for training, etc.Requirements: Skills, Education, Licensure, and/or CertificationsCurrent, unencumbered, active license to practice as a RN / Registered Nurse in this StateBLS CPR Certification (includes in-person demonstration and skills assessment)Trained / experienced in infection control policies and practices, excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skillsProficient computer skillsAbility to multi-taskMust not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace Preferred ExperienceOne to three (1-3) years experience in health care including teaching, training and development.One to three (1-3) years experience Nurse - Supervisor experience in a hospital or nursing facility.
