(40 hours per week) with State Benefits, including health

retirement. Position is aHealth Care Technician II located at
Alexander Correctional Facility in Taylorsville, NCwhich houses
approximately 1,000 of close custody male offenders. The Health
Care Technician II (CNA II): * Will participate in the delivery of
health services for the offender population in accordance with the
NC Nurse Practice Act and DPS Prisons Health Services Policy and
Procedure.
* Will be responsible for all aspects of medication administration
to include transcribing orders, ordering and storing medications
and supplies, administering medication and treatments,
documentation of medication administration and treatment, observing
and reporting medication effectiveness, side effects, and
reinforcing patient education provided by the nurse and/or
physician.
* Will provide additional nursing skills, as declared by the
licensure.
* Must successfully complete the Medication Technician course and
competency evaluation, mandated by the Department of Public Safety,
once employed. Note to Current State Employees: The Salary Grade
for this position is MH02. State employees are encouraged to apply

consideration the quantity of relevant education and experience,

* Must possess an active NAI that is listed on the NC Nursing
Assistant Registry () in addition to their CNAII certification

High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year
of related work experience; * OR- An equivalent combination of
education and experience. Special Condition for Continued
Employment As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North
