The EHS Coordinator will possess significant experience in EH&S
and will be responsible for all related duties for two multi-shift
manufacturing operations. -He/she will be instrumental in the
startup of the new production facility.
Lead the facility in promoting an EH&S culture, with
implementation of policies, procedures and responsibilities,
specifically ISO 14001 and 45001.
Develop, implement, review, and continually enhance the EH&S
management systems at the facility according to international
Lead EH&S planning at the facility, including the setting of
goals, prioritizing facility needs and establishing adequate
systems for performance review and improvement.
Report and coordinate worker's compensation claims to third party
Lead facility EH&S teams and develop activities that will
stimulate and maintain employee interest as well as improve
Establish tracking activities necessary to ensure compliance with
all EH&S regulations for the facility and contents within.
Manage resources for the facility for legal requirements as
contained in codes, laws, permits, licenses, orders, etc.
Assist department managers, supervisors and employees with
implementation of creative approaches to improve safety, minimize
environmental footprint and liability, and implement EH&S
Conduct EH&S inspections and assessments to assure compliance
with regulatory requirements, identify opportunities for
improvement, and provide recommendations based on findings.
Participate in internal and external communication and benchmarking
exercises to identify, communicate, and implement EH&S best
practices and management approaches.
Provide progress reports, to corporate and facility management and
facility employees relative to EH&S goals.
Assign corrective actions to employees for failures relative to
compliance with regulatory requirements, safety practices and

Develop and maintain Job Risk Assessments and environmental impact
Evaluate personal protective equipment (PPE), new tools and
equipment and make recommendations regarding their use and
operation to ensure employee safety.
Conduct effective and timely EH&S training to all facility
employees, temporary workers, contractors, and visitors to promote
a strong EH&S culture.
Represent facility during agency regulatory and third party
inspections or audits.
Coordinate communications with local emergency response functions:
-hospitals, police, fire, LEPC, contracted responders, etc.
Works in the company's Quality and Safety System context, in
accordance with its procedures and requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned
