It all begins with you.Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo's more than 70 million global customers.The Enterprise Application Portfolio Management (EAPM) group plays a critical role in managing our Application assets, Application competency center and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) policy and processes to ensure robust portfolio management of more than 4,500 applications. - The Application Lifecycle consists of three phases: Sunrise, Maintenance, and Sunset.As a Technology Manager on the Enterprise Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) team within the EAPM organization, you will be responsible for helping lead the ALM Tools and Automation team. This role will be involved with and provide leadership for tools and automation efforts for major ALM initiatives that span the Technology organization. - This Technology Manager will also lead a team responsible for enabling ALM processes across Technology. - This will involve active partnership with stakeholders, multiple levels of leadership, and individual contributors across Technology and business lines to develop and improve processes. - The role will also provide leadership and consulting to stakeholders and impacted areas as they assess and implement changes to meet the processes. - Therefore, the role has a significant need for experience and expertise in areas related to application lifecycle management. - Developing strong partnerships, balancing multiple priorities, providing strong leadership in a changing environment, and driving projects to completion in an efficient manner are all characteristics of a successful candidate in this role.Responsibilities include:

  • Lead technology enablement efforts to implement new tools and automation that will provide partners of ALM and EAPM with the capability to address outstanding needs/issues
  • Define and execute the strategy and plan for technology and tool solutions to enable ALM organization
  • Analyze new tools and the appropriate use of existing tools for our needs within ALM
  • Define, plan, and execute on strategic roadmaps for yearly tools and automation initiatives and programs
  • Provide ownership and maintenance of ALM Workflow tool, SharePoint team sites and Lifecycle Navigator for the Enterprise ALM team
  • Develop, test, and support ALM control processes hosted on SharePoint
  • Build and support an analytics platform to provide our ALM peers with metrics/reporting capabilities
  • -Source data from enterprise SORs to enable reporting and data integration
  • Develop, test, and schedule ongoing reports as well as provide ah-hoc reporting as needed
  • Establish operational objectives, assignments and delegate assignments to team leads
  • Define strategy, operationalize and run ALM Team operations encompassing the following:
    • Centralized Intake, Prioritization and Backlog Management
    • Release Management
    • Council Operations
    • ALM Operations Review
    • ALM and Validation Partners combined Operations Review
    • Establish and run centralized Automation and Innovation function
    • Drive Agile enablement
    • Define the policy mapping from COBIT to build out ALM Maintenance processes; partner with the organization to define, rollout and implement these processes
    • Define training, education and enablement functions for organizational adoption of new processes
    • Build a governance function to ensure alignment to the processes
    • Define reporting to ensure alignment to the policy framework
    • Define ongoing operational needs to enable adherence and execution of processes for the organization
    • Build partnerships across Technology, including working closely with leaders of associated technology standards and processes
    • Provide guidance and mentoring to team leads in the leadership of their teamsAs a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:
      • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.
      • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.The preferred location for this role is Charlotte-NC. - Other locations that can be considered are Chandler-AZ and Minneapolis-MN.

        Required Qualifications
        • 10+ years of technology experience
        • 5+ years of management experience in an IT environment
        • 5+ years of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts
        • 3+ years of Agile experience

          • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
          • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
          • Knowledge and understanding of application lifecycle, from design and development to testing, implementation and production support
          • Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC): all phases and types of testing
          • Ability to manage initiatives related to the following: architecture roadmap that aligns with business strategy and the broader architecture community; hardware and capacity planning, consolidation and rationalization; related emerging technology assessment and incubation
          • Ability to identify root-cause issues/improvement opportunities, and design approaches/programs/products to improve overall quality assurance
          • Strong relationship management skills
          • Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment
          • Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity
          • Experience developing improvement processes and implementation strategies
          • Experience identifying inefficiencies, finding opportunities to streamline business processes, and implementing change
          • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
          • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
