Job Summary: A leader who will show integrity and initiative while maintaining 24-hour accountability for the department (outpatient and CaroMont Medical Group (CMG)). Provides leadership and manages all aspects of departmental operations including financial oversight, employee/patient satisfaction, employee/provider engagement/recruitment, and quality of care consistent with the corporate, the division and organizational mission, vision, values, and strategic initiatives while maintaining a Highly Reliable Organizational (HRO) safety focus. Coordinates the operations of the hospital outpatient departments (HOPD) and CaroMont Medical Group (CMG) including leadership to the providers, clinical, and clerical staff. Assures that the HOPD and the physician practice operate within the CaroMont Health and CMG guidelines, policies, and standard work practices. Serves as a Lainson between clinic providers and organizational leadership.Qualifications: Bachelors Degree from a recognized college or university majoring in nursing and at least three years of progressive nursing management experience in outpatient surgery or interventional pain management required - OR - Associates degree in nursing with 4 years progressive nursing management experience required. Current RN license to practice in NC (NC licensure or multi-state compact license). Thorough knowledge of general nursing principles, methods, and techniques. Acute care and outpatient experience preferred. Thorough ability to deal tactfully with patients, physicians, department heads and patient's families. Considerable ability to manage and motivate people. Specialty certification preferred.
