OVERVIEW The Breeder Manager Assistant reports and works under the guidance of the Breeder Manager responsible for the daily operations of the Breeder Department, ensuring that all Animal welfare, biosecurity, and safety procedures are followed, and that all department goals are met.RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Advises Breeder Technicians in aiding the growers with bird management.Ensures Breeder Technicians and Growers are following established feeding programs for the flocks.Coordinates with Feed mill to ensure established feed schedules are delivered to farms timely.Assists with development and execution of plans to improve pullet and breeder results.Maintains a good working relationship between Case Farms and contract growers.Responsible for keeping daily records activities while monitoring efficiency and workflow.Assists with training and development of Breeder Technicians.Performs other related duties as required.REQUIREMENTS BA/BS Minimum or equivalent commensurate experience.At least three to five years progressive supervisory experience is required.At least three to five years of breeder experience is required.Demonstrated leadership ability, and strong communication skillsMust be self-motivated and can work both independently and as a team.Must be creative, innovative and be a results-oriented team player.Personal computer skills including MS Word and Excel.Detail oriented, structured, and able to communicate effectively, must possess demonstrated ability to work within timelines and in pressure situations.Strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills, excellent follow through on assigned tasks required for this position, must be able to handle multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities.Travel to Farms RequiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions, if applicable.Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods in all types of weather.Some light lifting (10-20lbs) will be occasionally required.
