QUALITY MANAGER - Excellent Benefits, Bonus, Compensation Package and ReloPRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES: Independently and effectively manage and coach a team of associates to meet departmental goals in Quality, Service, Cost and Safety. This individual is accountable for engaging their team during a shift to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. The person in this role will need to be able to show strong leadership, the ability to address budgetary objectives and the desire to equip their team with the tools needed for success. The Quality Manager will ensure that daily departmental goals are met using a People First philosophy to achieve established objectives in Safety, Service, Quality, and CostDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand and convey Key Performance Indicators (KPI), as well as understanding the downstream consequences of missed KPIsCommunicate effectively, professionally, and confidently with areas of Production, DCs and Hubs, Care Centers, and MerchantsUnderstand the QA processes for the factory and establish a rapport with the production team and line staffOversee the execution of daily furniture in-line and final inspections in accordance with WSI proceduresReference required control samples or documents (PDS- Product Data Sheet or weekly production schedule) as requiredUse Microsoft Office programs to create reports, analyze and generate communications to managementSupport the Operations Manager with determining staffing levels for departmental functionsPromote safety awareness and cultivate the safety culture throughout the company. Ensure the maintaining of a clean and safe work environment; communicate safety topics and conduct safety auditsEnsure availability of materials (supplies) and resources to all associates in the team, so that they can perform their duties with maximum efficiency and minimal downtimeControl and maintain steady workflow on the floor by ensuring all functions within the department are staffed with adequate headcount - partner with Operations Manager and assign and transfer associates around by skillset to balance the flow if necessaryEnsure downtime issues including systematic and mechanical are addressed as soon as they arise through the correct channelsAdopt and endorse continuous improvement concepts where applicableAssist in root cause analysis on issues pertaining to safety, service, quality, costDevelop and implement solutions to address workflow and efficiency issues, basic time studies and line balancingCoordinate projects and associated timelinesAbility to lift 20 lbs. regularly occasionally up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand for long periods of timePerform other duties as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of relevant work experience (quality manager, lead, inspector, etc.)Understand furniture quality control processes and systemsStrong management or leadership backgroundWorking knowledge of all operations through production: Fabric Inspection, Cutting, Sewing, Upholstery, Packing, Product DevelopmentAble to read and understand engineering drawings, sewing notes, and work instructions.Effective verbal and written communication skillsExcellent analytical skills and leadership capabilities including ability to train QA inspectors and drive the performance of leadsStrong eyesight (can use corrective lenses) to distinguish imperfectionsMust be a team player, have initiative, work under high pressure, and solve complex issuesSystems savviness, with proven experience interacting with relevant systems and adopting a data-driven approachExperience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to lead from the frontlines and be hands on (job has very little desk time)Job Type: Full-timePay: $95,000.00 - $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveProfessional development assistanceReferral programRelocation assistanceRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience:Quality management: 3 years (Preferred)Furniture Manufacturing Industry: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
