Job Description Role: Global Human Resources Project Manager Job Summary The Global Corporate Project Manager will have ongoing responsibility for leading multiple complex corporate function related programs and projects. He/She will be a "Hands-on" lead to collaborate and coordinate with IT, Finance, HR, and other Albemarle functional subject matter experts in the development, design, and implementation of project planning. Working directly with internal and external team members and leveraging technology will ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish, implement, assess, and continuously improve system and organization for Global Corporate Project Portfolio including templates, procedures, and leadership cadences to ensure sustainable process to continuously monitor standards, ownership, and updates to content; Maintain dynamic process and training documentation ---
  • Develop and lead system(s) to coordinate Global Corporate Project Portfolio including ideation and prioritization; Administer and maintain central repository for documentation and collaboration. ---
  • Publish performance metrics tracking compliance to key objectives; Data analysis for follow up with corrective actions to ensure process and performance improvements effected and sustained. ---
  • Collaborate with Albemarle project managers cross functionally on the organizational program & project management methodologies and tools ensuring standardization across the company. ---
  • Determine the scope, resources (time, money, equipment, people resources, etc.) required, objectives and measures of each project in collaboration with the project sponsor. ---
  • Responsible for the development and management of comprehensive detailed project plans and documentation to include building Gant charts, identifying critical paths & milestones and ensure resources are qualified. ---
  • Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project. ---
  • Maintain positive team relationships and communications with a diverse global project team.
  • Recommends and executes on process improvements to functional leadership, Executive Sponsors, and Senior Leaders
  • Drive multiple continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and process improvement methods.
  • Model and oversee effective change leadership throughout the global business to enable adoption of new business processes. Includes communication to all personnel, training of the global workforce and introduction of ideas and resources to inspire stakeholders and leadership in overcoming resistance to change.
  • Review the project schedule with project sponsor and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
  • Manage project team members and monitor the progress of the project and adjust as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project.
  • Monitor and review all budgeted project expenditures and report any variance to project sponsor on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly.) Required Qualifications
    • Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and Lean required
    • 5-10 years' experience in a project management role supporting HR and other corporate function initiatives.
    • Strong organizational change experience involving significant changes in roles, processes, and technology.
    • Strong expertise in project management methodologies, tools and techniques. Ability to develop and coordinate detailed work plans across workstreams.
    • Strong analytical skills, proficiency with analyzing data and presenting results.
    • Strong organizational skills, with a focus on high priorities despite organizational interruptions
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with all levels within the organization and ability to influence without direct authority.--
    • High ethical standards regarding the handling of sensitive and confidential information.
    • Ability to provide coaching, direction and mentoring to project team members.
    • Ability to take initiative, identifying potential problems and solutions.
    • Ability to plan and prioritize tasks, to work well under pressure, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • --Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Preferred Qualifications:
      • Prior experience implementing and/or as a user of technologies (i.e. SAP, Workday, ADP)
      • Prior experience managing executive level stakeholders and sponsors.
      • Prior experience managing global, cross-functional teams.
      • Prior experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
