Job Description Job Description Overview We are seeking a hands-on Electrical/Mechanical Engineer to support manufacturing operations, perform equipment upgrades, and provide technical support both in-house and in the field. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working directly with hardware, troubleshooting electromechanical systems, and collaborating closely with manufacturing, service, and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Support day-to-day manufacturing operations by troubleshooting and resolving electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical issues on production equipment. Perform hands-on manufacturing upgrades, retrofits, and continuous improvement projects to improve reliability, safety, and performance. Assemble, wire, modify, and test electrical and mechanical systems, subassemblies, and equipment. Diagnose and repair electronic systems including power supplies, sensors, motors, drives, PLCs, and control panels. Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and bills of materials. Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and design engineering teams to resolve production issues and implement design improvements. Support equipment installation, commissioning, and validation activities. Provide field service support as needed, including on-site troubleshooting, upgrades, and customer support (travel may be required). Document work performed, including service reports, upgrade instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Ensure all work complies with safety standards, electrical codes, and company procedures. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field; equivalent hands-on experience will be considered. Strong hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment and electromechanical systems. Working knowledge of electronics, including circuit troubleshooting, wiring, sensors, motors, and control components. Solid mechanical aptitude, including experience with mechanical assemblies, pneumatics, motors, gearboxes, and alignment. Ability to use standard test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies. Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Customer-Facing Field Service Responsibilities Travel to customer sites to install, commission, upgrade, and repair equipment. Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues independently in the field. Act as a technical expert and trusted point of contact for customers. Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues, solutions, and next steps. Train customer personnel on equipment operation and maintenance. Provide structured feedback from the field to improve product design and manufacturability.
