Job Description Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented
Altium Designer/Librarian to increase our hardware engineering
capability. The ideal candidate will have experience through the
complete PWB design cycle. Additionally, the candidate will be
responsible for part-creation and component lifecycle management.
Responsibilites Include: Schematic Capture: Work collaboratively
with Electrical Engineers to create/maintain hierarchical
schematics. Layout Execution: Perform multi-layer PCB routing,
including high-speed digital interfaces, sensitive analog signals,
signal conditioning, power supply circuits, and fast high current
dump loops in flex, rigid-flex, and rigid designs. Design for
Manufacturing (DFM): Work with suppliers and engineering to conduct
DFM, DFA (Assembly), and DFT (Test) reviews to ensure high yield
and lower production costs. Output Generation: Prepare
comprehensive fabrication and assembly packages (Gerber, ODB, Drill
files, Pick-and-Place, Fabrication, and Assembly drawings). 3D
Modeling: Integrate accurate STEP models for all components to
ensure precise mechanical clearance checking. Altium CoDesigner
preferred. Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers to ensure
PCB-to-Enclosure fitment. Component Creation: Develop and maintain
schematic symbols and high-density PCB footprints (IPC-7351
compliant) within the Altium environment. Component lifecycle
management experience preferred. Standardization: Establish and
enforce global component and library standards, including naming
conventions and layer assignments. Requirements: Must be a US
Citizen. 5 years of dedicated ECAD layout and library experience
(Altium Preferred). Expertise in Altium Designer. CID (Certified
Interconnect Designer) or CID certification required. Comprehensive
knowledge of IPC-6011, IPC-6012, IPC-6013, IPC-2221, IPC-7351, and
J-STD-001. Experience with impedance control and stack-up design
preferred. Knowledge of Signal Integrity (SI) and Electromagnetic
Interference (EMI) best practices preferred. About Corvid: Corvid
