Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.

considered. This full-time, on-site position supports K-12 students
who are deaf or hard of hearing within a school setting, providing
specialized instruction and support aligned with North Carolina's
educational standards. The role requires a focus on delivering
individualized services, collaborating with families and staff, and
ensuring compliance with Special Education regulations. Location:
Concord, NC Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week (school calendar)
Caseload: Approximately 1012 students Position Type: Contract,
Current School Year (CSY) Key Responsibilities: - Deliver Special
Education instruction consistent with students Individualized
Education Programs (IEPs) and the NC Standard Course of Study -
Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans tailored to
student needs - Conduct screenings and evaluations to support
student progress and services - Actively participate in IEP
meetings, providing input on present levels, goals, and service
delivery - Monitor and document student progress, adjusting
instructional strategies as needed - Manage classroom behavior to
maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment - Maintain
accurate and timely documentation, including notes, summaries, and
IEP records - Communicate effectively with school staff, students,
and families to support student success Qualifications: - Valid
North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) DHH
Professional Educators License (active license screenshot required
upon application) - Proven experience teaching students who are
deaf or hard of hearing in K-12 settings - Strong knowledge of
Special Education procedures and legal compliance - Effective
