Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. A Special Education Teacher position is available for
the 2024-2025 academic year in a school district located near Irmo,
South Carolina. This contract role offers the opportunity to work
with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels,
focusing on diverse special education needs. The position requires
a state-issued Special Education license with an endorsement in
Learning Disabilities or Multi-Categorical Special Education. Key
Responsibilities: - Deliver specialized instruction and support to
students with various disabilities, including learning disabilities
and emotional disabilities. - Develop and implement individualized
education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs. - Collaborate
with school staff and related service providers to enhance student
learning and well-being. - Manage caseloads in resource settings or
self-contained classrooms, depending on assignment. - Maintain
accurate records and participate in meetings related to student
progress. Qualifications and Experience: - Valid teaching
certificate with endorsements in Learning Disabilities or
Multi-Categorical Special Education. - Experience working with
students across different age groups, including elementary, middle,
and high school. - Strong understanding of special education laws,
instructional strategies, and behavior management techniques. -
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Location: South Carolina (Irmo area) Work Schedule: - Elementary
School Hours: 7:00 AM 2:30 PM - Middle School Hours: 8:00 AM 3:00
PM - High School Hours: 8:00 AM 3:30 PM - Full-time (35-40 hours
per week) - Contract duration: August 7, 2024, to May 28, 2025
Additional Details: - Interviews conducted via Teams, with
decisions made within 24-48 hours. - Standard onboarding processes,
including background checks, will apply. - No direct supervision
from aides or related staff is provided. - Collaboration
opportunities exist with occupational therapists and
speech-language pathologists within the district. This role offers
