The Strategy and Business Development team member will be part of a team driving and implementing the growth and transformation strategy for Equitable's Educators business. He or she will program manage strategic initiatives for the Tribe, own client segmentation and competitive intelligence, develop business cases for inorganic and organic growth opportunities, and be the Leadership Team's go-to subject matter expert for strategic projects and ad-hoc analyses. The team member will be a critical part of the Educators Customer Experience team and New Ways of Working (NWOW) at Equitable, working closely with the Team Lead using Agile methodology/NWOW principles. He or she will collaborate with Team Lead to help achieve Team mission and ORKs under a test-and-learn culture that entails MVP delivery, innovation, frequent engagement with customers and stakeholders, and continuous iteration. Key Responsibilities: --- Program manage key Tribe level strategic initiatives including helping drive accountability --- Work with Distribution, Marketing, Product, and Finance teams to develop and iterate a strategy that preserves Equitable's competitive advantage in the Educator market while incrementally transforms the business model to adapt to industry, customer and regulatory dynamics. --- Lead development of business cases for organic and inorganic growth opportunities in partnership with Tribe stakeholders --- Conduct market and competitive research/intelligence that generates strategic insights as well as tactical sales and business development opportunities --- Segment clients and advisors to source actionable growth insights that help guide MVP designs and iterations --- Manage and coordinate key external stakeholder flows such as regulator requests and follow ups --- Implement and manage a system for sharing and communicating business data and qualitative research across the Tribe --- Identify issues/structure problems and generate actionable recommendations using problem solving frameworks and critical thinking --- Determine analytical needs for a project and guide the project team to gather required data and identify most appropriate quantitative and qualitative analysis --- Manage the creation and delivery of presentations to senior management, including guiding the team to deliver very clear, structured and sometimes persuasive messagingSkills required to ensure your success include: Business Data Analysis: Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements. Cross-functional Collaboration: Knowledge of collaborative techniques and approaches; ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement and working together across functions to solve business problems and meet business goals. Data Analysis Tools: Knowledge of key uses and benefits of data analysis tools; ability to utilize data analysis tools to identify factors influencing business performance and to gain greater insight into trends within a business, industry and customer base. Data Gathering and Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques and processes; ability to gather and analyze data on the learning needs of a target population. Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. Process Mapping/Flowcharting: Knowledge of the concepts of process mapping; ability to carry out the documentation of current and proposed manufacturing processes to identify and make improvements.
