Staff Position Title: Administrative Assistant to the Kids Ministry Principal Function :The Administrative Assistant for Kids Ministry will work with the Children's Pastor to provide organizational management support, administrative leadership, and operational expertise in facilitating the development of a premier kids ministry that meets the needs of families in the upstate of South Carolina and serves as a model for kids ministries nationwide. The position will provide admin support for Preteen, Elementary, and Preschool ministries. Reports To: Children's Pastor Responsibilities: 40 Hours a week - (32 hours in the office and 8 hours program ministry hours) - Sunday-Thursday and Special Events General Spiritual Growth: Actively pursue and model a growing relationship with Jesus. Collaboration: Work with the CATM staff team at-large to create & promote unity and collaboration within the staff. Stewardship: Display good stewardship in managing Kids Ministries' budget in a manner that supports CATM's vision and the master Kids Ministry plan. Assist the Children's Pastor in administrative and organizational management tasking. Any additional responsibilities as directed by the Children's Pastor.New Beginnings & Real Relationships (Church Mission and Vision) Oversee the Monthly Kids Newsletter. Serve as the bridge between Kids Team and Comm Team.Gather & Grow (Discipleship) Oversee Gospel Project Curriculum & Curriculum add-ons and ensure delivery of digital and physical materials to staff and volunteers Working with the church database to provide all necessary items to support Attendance - Class Rolls, Check-in Events and making edits to family profiles. Prepare Check-in Stations and monitor children's Check-in and assist in needs with Check-in and First Time Guest Experience. Support Midweek programming (Wednesday Nights) logistics for each ministry Collecting and reporting attendance and other valuable metrics. Support all Sunday AM Small Group logistics, including facilitating communications, room set-up, substitute leader placement, and metrics. Support the development and implementation of milestone events that encourage families and support the Kid's Ministry Plan - Baby Dedication and New Believer's Process Support in directing all logistics and teams associated with VBS/VBX Support in directing all logistics and teams associated with implementing camps and retreats.Give (Volunteers) Help identify and recruit potential Kids Ministry Volunteers. Support Volunteer Process for the Kids Team - Run Background Checks, Set-up Interviews, and make name badges.Go (Missions) Support the development and implementation of outreach events, ensuring policy and logistics meet ministry standards. Support the development and cooperation of school relationships. Preferred Competencies: Relationship Building: Ability to build healthy relationships with staff, kids, parents, and volunteer leaders. Communication: The ability to effectively share information in various ways within the ministry (staff, volunteers, parents, & kids), and promote the ministry at large to the church & community. Team Leadership: Ability to facilitate alignment within the team and with other teams. Time Management: Ability to facilitate productivity by effectively handling time. This includes appropriate time management for daily/weekly tasks, meetings, programming prep, professional development, personal time, and margin to accommodate crises as they arise in the ministry. Flexibility: The ability to adapt and improvise when unexpected circumstances arise. Multi-Tasking: The ability to focus on a single task without losing track of others, simultaneously managing many responsibilities and switching between tasks as needed. Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree in Ministry or Organizational Management (with at least two years of successful ministry experience) OR more than 5 years of successful, high-level ministry experience in a similar role.Job Type: Full-timePay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hourBenefits: Paid time offSchedule: Holidays Monday to Friday Weekend availabilityEducation: Bachelor's (Preferred)Work Location: One location
