Grubb Properties, a leader in innovative real estate developments since 1963, is seeking a dynamic Assistant Fund Accounting Manager to enhance our finance team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance across our diverse portfolio of real estate investments. You will work closely with senior management to not only maintain but also improve our financial processes, ensuring that Grubb Properties continues to provide top-notch value-driven investment opportunities to our clients. Assist in preparing detailed quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations concerning real estate funds. Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax-related requirements for managed funds. Conduct detailed financial analyses to support the company’s investment decisions and portfolio management. Collaborate with internal audit teams to conduct regular audits and identify areas for financial improvement. Manage and mentor junior staff within the fund accounting department. Work closely with external auditors to ensure a smooth auditing process. Implement and optimize accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Strong proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports. Strong organizational and leadership capabilities. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is highly preferred. CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or other relevant financial certifications considered a plus.
