Job Description:
Position SummaryThe Accountant II position will work as part of
the Finance Department ensuring accurate transaction records and
analyzing and verifying company records follow organizational rules
and regulatory standards.This role will include day to day
accounting functions as well as to assist the CFO with tax
processing, financial statements, and cost accounting. -Essential
FunctionsThe responsibilities of the Accountant II will include,
but are not limited to the following:
- Full cycle Accounts Payable. 3-way matching, G/L account coding
of invoices and expense reports, data entry and filing, wire
transfer preparation.
- Full cycle Accounts Receivable. Issue invoices to customers,
working with customer service and shipping to ensure accuracy and
timeliness. Apply customer payments in the accounting system.
- Assist CFO with month end closing by preparing and posting
journal entries
- Perform balance sheet account analysis and bank
reconciliations. Research reconciling items and prepare necessary
journal entries
- Maintain and manage CIP and fixed assets
- Complete monthly sales and use tax returns. Maintain knowledge
of current changes in sales tax rates, as required. - - - - -

- Project cost accounting.
- Work with CFO to ensure appropriate cost allocation to cost
centers, analyze costs for annual OH rate calculations.
- Assist -CFO with generation of financial statements analyzing
variances.
- Provide support for year-end audits
- Provide support for various ad hoc projects
- Participate in departmental projects and goals, as needed
- May perform other duties as assigned. -Supervisory
ResponsibilityNot at this time. Future potential does exist. -Work
EnvironmentThis job operates in both an office environment and a
manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office
equipment, such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets
and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to
safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.Physical
DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently
required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and
reach with hands and arms.The employee is occasionally required to
sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The
employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10lbs and
occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs. Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision, distance
vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and
ability to adjust focus.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is
a full-time position Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm, additional
hours as required.TravelNo travel requiredRequired Education and
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years mid-level accounting/financial
experience.
- Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards
(GAAP)
- Bachelor's degree attained in Accounting or Finance course
study.
- Minimum of 1-year SAP experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast pace
environment.
- Strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent
analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Must be able to work independently and with a team.
- Excellent communication skills and possess ability to
communicate across all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
